  • Examples: Freedom of speech (liberté d'expression), Right to education (droit à l'éducation), Right to vote (droit de vote), Right to health care (droit aux soins).

  • Examples: Obeying the law (respecter la loi), Paying taxes (payer les impôts), Voting in elections (voter), Protecting the environment (protéger l'environnement).

  • To introduce ideas: First of all, To begin with.
  • To add ideas: Moreover, Furthermore, In addition.
  • To show contrast: However, On the other hand, Nevertheless.
  • To conclude: To sum up, In conclusion.

2. L'expression de l'opinion :

  • Giving opinion: In my opinion, I believe that, From my point of view.
  • Agreeing/Disagreeing: I totally agree with, I disagree with the idea that.

Exemples corrigés

Question de réflexion : Is volunteering a duty or a choice? Réponse type : "In my opinion, volunteering is a choice rather than a legal duty. While citizens have the duty to obey laws, volunteering is an act of active citizenship. It shows that a person wants to contribute to their community voluntarily. However, it is a moral responsibility that helps build a better society."

Erreurs fréquentes

  • Confondre Rights et Duties : Ne dites pas "My duty is to vote" (c'est un droit/privilège) mais "It is my right to vote" ou "It is my duty to respect the law".
  • Vocabulaire trop simple : Évitez de répéter "good person". Utilisez "responsible citizen" ou "active member of society".
  • Oublier les exemples : Une argumentation sans exemples (ex: "like helping in NGOs") est considérée comme faible.
